Based on the concept of an apple wrapping around its core to protect it, my puzzle box uses size and materiality to convey this idea of protection. A the pieces get larger and further from the core, they become lighter in materiality, as to imitate an apple growing softer as it reaches its skin. It also uses a series of intertwining pieces that link together to create a unified form.
