MY trAVELS
EUROPE
In the summer after my high school graduation, I went with my family to Europe and traveled from country to country visiting friends and family. We went to Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Tirol (Italy), and Austria on our grand tour of the continent, and I was able to see the different architectural styles used in Europe.
By traveling to so many different countries, I got to see a range of different living conditions. From the suburbs of Germany, to the urban conditions of Wien, Austria and Budapest, Hungary, even the rural farmlands and villages in Kolozsvar, Romania
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Over the course of a few years I have traveled to different areas of America, including but not limited to Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Miami, and New York City. Recently I went to an AIAS Quad Conference in Boston, MA and was so interested in the organic development of the city which differed greatly from the gridded plan of Philadelphia. It just goes to show that there are so many interesting places of all different varieties out there waiting to bee seen.
THE CARRIBEAN
When I went vacationing to the tropical islands of the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, and to Cancun, Mexico, I was dazzled by the beauty of the land: clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, and incredible resort buildings. In both cases, when we explored the nearest city the streets were rich with culture and life, with vendors and adobe buildings.
